Take Care of Your Oral Health

As a general practice, we can handle almost all the phases of dentistry you may need whether it is preventive care, restorative, root canal treatment, periodontal disease, prosthetics, or extractions.

However, there are times that in the doctor’s best judgment, it would be advisable for you to see a specialist. We would, in that case, suggest to you another office and make the arrangements. Call the staff at Shuman Dentistry to learn more!

Are You Having a Dental Problem?

If you have a problem, please call us as early in the day as possible. If the problem arises when the office is closed, you can reach the dentist via their cell phone (numbers are provided on our answering machine).

Visit Every 3 to 6 Months

In order to provide you with recare appointment times of your choice, we encourage scheduling in advance. If you do not wish to schedule at the time of your visit, you will be notified 60 days before you are due, requesting you call us to schedule an appointment. When you return for your recare visit, please advise the receptionist of any change in address, telephone number, marital status, employment, insurance coverage or medical history.

We Direct Bill Most Major Insurance Plans!

We can direct bill insurance plans from United Concordia, Delta Dental, MetLife, Cigna, Aetna, Guardian and Blue Cross Dental.

Don’t See Your Plan Listed?

If we do not participate with your insurance company, you may still be allowed to assign insurance benefits. This means that the insurance company will send payment directly to the dentist. You would then be billed for all balances not covered by your plan.

No Insurance, No-Problem!

All of our services are priced competitively and we offer a 5% discount off your bill if you are a private pay patient and pay the day of your visit. If you can’t pay that day, your payment will be due in full within 10 days.

Initial Visit

During your first visit we will take some X-Rays and give you a tour of your mouth with our intra oral cameras. Then, we’ll learn about your oral health goals and give you any applicable treatment options.

Next Visit

Once you know what is going on inside of your mouth, you make the treatment decisions that are best for you. We will never be pushy or recommend treatment that you don’t need.
